Everyones asthma is different. Just cause you have mild asthma doesnt mean a whole lot in her case. She sounds like she's practically dying from it. My bf has had to get steriods for the past 3 years every winter because his asthma is so bad. A teacher in high school 3 years ago called an ambulance cause he couldnt breath. doctor said that if he had gone to bed that night, he wouldnt have woken up the next morning. His asthma gets so bad in the winter, especially these past 3 years.

That doesn't mean it's a good enough reason to take the baby at 30-33 weeks. That's ridiculous.

agrred, I'm not a doctor but if your doctor is really saying that then a second opinion is a needed. there are womaen with much more serious issues health risk and concerns and a doctor would be very hesitant to take a baby that early

im aware a lot of people have asthma and asthma attacks for people are different for each person; and mine is getting worse and things are happening and with the climate change here for fall and winter its probably going to make it worse and this is what my doctor told me so sorry that im concerned about what he told me.

Maybe your dr wants to take the baby early cause you're super high risk.? Sounds like he could be worried that something may happen to you or the baby if he doesn't take the baby early. Is there a possible risk of death if you carry to term with your asthma being so bad and it getting worse? That's what it kind of sounds like. Maybe that's what he's worried about, is something happening to you. Before you have him take the baby out, you should make sure they do an u/s and make sure its safe to take the baby that early.

Also a second opinion wouldn't hurt... I would just make sure that the baby is growing properly and will be able to survive before letting a dr take them out so early. And make sure it is medically necessary, you don't want to do anything that would put your baby in harm if it isn't seriously needed.

Just make sure that it isn't more harmful, to you or the baby, to take the baby out early then it is to wait a little longer.
