what to pack?

im having my little boy on halloween day i had a c-section with my daughter but didnt know she was going to be coming 2 weeks early so i wasnt prepared. this time i know what day im gonna have this one just dont know what to bring with me when i gotta stay in the hospital...suggestions would be a big help  

Outfits to go home in, toothbrush, hair brush, somethings that help relax you like an ipod, baby book maybe. Uumm...I'm trying to think of what's in my bag.. slippers!! blankets...socks...shower and hygiene things.

I dont stay for long but i never use anything besides a going home out fit for baby a camera and two changes of clothes for myself...and a tooth bush, hair brush and such. Maybe a book if you are staying awhile..

You never know though! I though after c section you stay at least 2 days? Am I wrong?

From what I remember (my SIL had one recently) it is 2-4 depending, i think...I am out of there in 24 hours!

when i had my c-section i was in the hospital for 3 days

i was in for 30-36 hours MAX after both my sections.
Just take going home stuff for you both, shower stuff (tho i wasn't aloud to shower for some reason. it was icky!) and a camera/charger or batteries and phone with charger!

I don't know about where u live but here we have to take everything for mum and bub which includes nappies wipes baby clothes all the bathing soaps for bub, bum creams, lotions, powders, wraps for bub. Also everything that mum needs from clothes to hygiene stuff and shower stuff, any extra things that i think are like phone and charger, camera, a magazine or book, just incase u have time to relax. hope that helps u out a bit  

I have my list all typed out and some of my stuff already packed! I can give you my list and hopefully it'll help you!  

Let's see, for my baby I am packing:
- Take-home outfit (includes socks and mittens so baby doesn't scratch himself)
- One thermal, one thick, one swaddling blanket(s)
- Diaper bag w/ the essentials
- Pacifiers
- Manicure kit (sometimes they won't cut the baby's nails, from what I've heard)
- CAR SEAT!

For myself I am packing:
- Two pairs of pajama pants that I do not care about
- Two tank tops I do not care about
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Body wash
- Face wash
- Hair brush
- Tooth brush and toothpaste
- Non-skid socks and a pair of slippers
- A robe (makes breast feeding [if you are planning on that] much easier)
- My Kindle (pack a book or magazine or two if you do not own one)
- My phone and charger and headphones (I own an iPhone so it will double as my iPod so I'll have something to listen to to distract me)
- An extra bag to take stuff home in! I've heard some hospitals let you take home blankets and burping cloths and diapers. Plus, you need a safe place to store your paperwork.
