Pumpkin Pancakes

I will probably sound crazy but just bear with me! I normally have the premade pancake mix I mix up. Would pumpkin pancakes taste just as good with that? Just add the pumpkin puree and some seasoning. Should I just groan and bear it and make them homemade?

I would think it would be okay to add to the pancake mix.

But, if it comes out nasty, don't blame me

I done it this morning, and was very pleased.
EDIT: except I used the rest of my pumpkin pie filling instead of pumpkin puree.
