18 , preganant. afraid

Im 18 and Im 35 weeks pregnant with my little angel.We're naming her Lyric Mckenzie. I have 5 more weeks and im SUPER excited. But im scared as hell!! Theres so many things that run through my mind and worry me. Im afraid i might have done something wrong throughout my pregnanct without knowing and she not being 100 % healthy. Im afraid when she gets here i might not be able to handle it and ill flip. Im afraid I might not be able to provide everything she needs. I have a job but its not the best paying one. and im currently looking for my own place because ilive with my boyfriend and his family. I know i have support but i want to be able to do it on my own and take care of my daughter. Im just afraid I wont be the mother that i set out to be. I love kids, but im not always the best at handling them. I have little patience and i tend to get frustrated or panic. I KNOW IKNOW, igot pregnant and i have to deal with this. I knew what to expect with my pregnancy, and i plan on doing my best and being the best mom i can be. but im just afraid ill crack or something will break me and i wont be what she deserves... HOW DO I GET OVER THIS?!

You're not going to stop worrying, even after she's born, going to school, graduated and having babies of her own. It's just part of being a mother.

I find I handle my kids 1000 times better than I do other peoples kids. You will have natural instinct just go with it.

You can do it. Just keep your priorities in line and keep your head up.

I think you would be great after enrolling in some parenting classes. I took them and it prepared me so much for what to expect and how to deal with those frustrating moments. There will be points where they will cry and nothing you can do will help them. It wares down on you bad! The fact you are worried means you really care because you want to be a great mother. Remember, nobody is perfect and if you ever feel at wits end, it is fine to have a time out for yourself as long as you put her in a safe place.

But seriously, check out parenting classes. I think everyone should be required to take them, teen or not.

It a good sign your nervous. Shows that you care. We all lose it from time to time but it's ok that's how we learn. And fyi I hated kids before I had mine they freaked me out. Still can't stand other people's kids for the most part but unless I know them well but I adore my kiddos.

Thats what everyone tells me. That im going to worry until the day i die. I know I can be a good mother. Im just always stuck thinking 'what if.' That and I watch too much television and see too much on the internet that scares me lol. But thank you all so much.

its good that your nervous.. im still nervous and had my baby monday night.. its not gunna go away.. sorry to say lol

It never too late to take them!

There is mamas taking them with 5/6 year olds.

Well i guess thats something i should look into then. Im not quite sure if we even have them around my town. Its so small lol. But i will find out. Thank you. all.

I'm in the same boat!! I'm 37 weeks. I helped my friends a lot with their kids and even my own siblings, but I'm terrified I won't be what I think I can be. I also have a job, my SO has a good job, but I'm afraid I won't gain the patience I need for my baby! You're not alone. But I just think of this...if the BILLIONS of women before me did it, then I can do it too. Keep your head up! You're gonna do just fine, let nature take over and guide you! Congrats also!

Your hospital might have some... well at least taking care of an infant. Just look at their website to see.
