DNA testing question..

i dont know anything about them...and my fiance wants to get one done  

where would you have to go to get one done at? how much do they cost? and how long til the results come back?

For 79 bucks you can get a kit sent to you. Take the test, mail it back and they post the results in 3-5 days after getting it. You can also pay an extra 20 bucks for overnight shipping

I did one for me and my dad two years ago. I bought one at the drug store. Just swab the mother, father, and child and mail it off with $200ish. We got the results in a week.

Eta- it wasn't $200. It was $80ish.

Does he believe you cheated?

If you plan to put him on child support, they test free when doing your case at the child support enforcement office....i would call my local Child Support office and find out who,what , when ,where, why, and how from them even if i wasn't gonna put him on it because they will know all the info you need.

There is not difference from online to instore. You still do the kit at home and mail it in to the lab. You can also call local labs and see what they would charge to do it.

They do have home kits but (I) don't know a single man who is gonna trust a home kit....

It's more expensive but works the same I suppose. I did the one online and got results super fast

id think he'd believe any test, since they both go straight to a lab. (i think).

yeah, he feels uncomfortable buying anything online because of his info getting out.


and yes, he thinks i cheat. ugh. i was heartbroken when i got cheated on by past relationships. i wouldnt want anyone to feel like that just because i did something stupid. id never hurt him. i keep telling him that..but he wont believe me until the test proves otherwise

They still go out to a lab and get tested. The only thing you are doing at home is the swabs.
