Terconazole

I am now 16 weeks 4 days pregnant and my doctor has given me Terconazole vaginal cream 0.8% to use at bedtime for 3 days for a yeast infection. My understanding is that this is a category c class drug and I am worry ( as always) Has any of you been prescribe this medication during pregnancy? How many weeks were you and the strenght they prescribe you and for how many days did you have to use it? what side effects did you experience, if any and for those who gave birth was your baby ok? please let me know any information and share your experience using this medication. Thanks in advance!

Well i take two class c medicAtions for bipolar disorder and my baby is fine

They can't test medications on pregnant women. So practically no medication will be labeled safe.... A c basically means there haven't been any reported side effects from it causing problems with the baby.

i have had this creame my entire pregancy..i first got it at 13 weeks..and i am now 35 weeks..but i use it for 7 days and my baby is fine

My doctor prescribed the 7 day treatment to me at 10 weeks. I was scared to use it too, but I came to realize that the doctor wouldn't give me anything that would harm my baby. I'm now 28 weeks and everything is great (:

thank you guys, but I decided not to use it. I know it may not have been the best idea but I just wasn't sure ( too scare to use it) at my next apoitment I will bring it upto my doctor.

infections lead to premature labor. just take the smurf, your baby will be fine
