Wanna see? *pics*

So, another mama had mentioned the sharpie plates that people have been making. If you don't know what they are, basically you take a dollar store ceramic plate, write/draw on it with sharpie, bake it and it becomes permanent.

I made these with the kids today. I'm going to get a little holder for them and put them over the fireplace, I think.  

Ignore my camera's crappy quality and their sideways-ness, lol.

That's really cool. What type and how long do you bake them?

I've never heard of that! They are SO cute! Any idea how I could do it with a 3 month old?

hold hand to plate and trace with marker. Then wash hand good.

Just a plain ceramic plate from the dollar store (from what I heard the more expensive plates are stain resistant so they don't work as well) and a Sharpie. You bake it on 350 for 30 minutes, and let it cool with the oven.

Or you could do a foot print. That might be easier with an infant.

That's something we've thought about doing for grandparents this year but let the kids draw whatever they want. Both DH and I made them when we were little (both did it in preschool) and our moms still have them

Awwe.

I think I might have the kids decorate cups like that as presents my mom and my grandma. Just freehand with their names on it somewhere.

That's a good idea to do one every month until they turn one, or one every year to see how they grow!
