Quoting EasyComeEasyGo:" Do you think you're automatically subject to be an addict, or have addictive behaviors, because you come from a line of addicts? Why or why not?"
Quoting The Doctor:" Just having genes will not make you an addict. However-- with that said-- if you have a lot of addiction ... [snip!] ... addiction in your family, chances are you've seen a lot of addictive behaviors-- and IMO, that can make you more susceptible."
Quoting Avery’s momma:" if that was the case i would probably be a meth head lol. but i dont do drugs or drink anymore since ... [snip!] ... smurf happened when i was younger i grew up around my grandparents who did a great job raising me away from drugs and suff."

I hardly drink, and when I do.. it's with friends/at home. And I don't do any drugs. It's the main reason I don't think addiction is genetic. If that were the case... at least one of my mom's daughters would be an alcohol addict and/or heroin addict, and none of us are. So.
