That sounds very stressful...its like part of you is trying to avoid your past. Even though you probably consciously understand that wont happen.

I've read a few "well it's not effecting anyone negatively" comments about addiction. Does that necessarily mean it's not an addiction? I think I'm addicted to caffeine.
I can't go a day, or even a few hours without it. My head will hurt, my stomach will hurt. But it doesn't effect the rest of my life at all, doesn't hurt me financially.

I'm not frugal but I do have a habit of hoarding money. I'm all about saving because of how I grew up. I fear being broke. If our checking account goes before $1500, I freak the smurf out and its ridiculous. I don't mind spending money so to speak but I need that number to always be at $1500+.

The Army screwed up M's paychecks and rank for about 3-4 months so we had to basically live off of our savings. Omg, my anxiety was through the roof the whole time even though I knew we were not going to go any where near draining our savings account.

This. I know I am addicted to caffeine. I just got up from a nap and felt so weak and I was shaking. Tried eating a bagel and cream cheese. Didnt help. Ate a sandwich. Didnt help. Poured a glass of Pepsi. All is good now.

Well caffeine is more of a physical addiction....your body reacts when it doesnt have it. Much like someone going through withdrawal.

It does me....I was getting worried I was going to fall to the floor. Although...it could also have been low sugars because I can drink Sprite and be just fine.

What's even worse... is I work at an ice cream shop   SAMPLE ALL THE THINGS!


My work is just so tempting. We usually have our 48oz ice cream 3/$10... and they're $5.99 a piece regularly   So I just have to....  

I have caramel candy bar sundae, chocolate marshmallow, caramel cone crunch, sea salt caramel, and peanut butter n' chip. And of course some cake cones...  

I'm terrible........ hahaha

Me? Yes. It literally makes me sick.

But I meant other people. I've seen on here and IRL people say that if it isn't effecting other people/aspects of your life, it isn't really an addiction. If it's not hurting you financially, straining any relationships, causing fights, etc. I probably worded it wrong in my other post.

It is. Especially since SO and I decided we're starting to TTC in January. We have about $1200 left over after bills and such... and I'm still worried about being able to afford the baby's necessities, even though I know it's enough. LOL. It's not gotten bad, though. I don't think it will. I buy what I know I need, and then still go out for a treat every now and then.

Omg. I'd love to have a $1500+ cushion   We have no savings, mainly because we just haven't had a need for it. But that'll start soon. I want a back up plan for when we have LO, if anything ever happens to SO and I and we're incapable of working for x amount of time.
