Not true. There is a mom on here. The bd wasn't even involved with his dd but he was granted the right to change her last name to his.

gah - i mean TBH ... i don't like my last name, as it is tied to people i would rather have nothing to do with. BUT if he isn't going to be involved, like he hasn't been, then I wouldn't want her having his last name. Although his last name is cute.

Prob best thing to do would be just give her your last name for now, make it easier for you In the long run. Its not gunna be her last name forever anyways once she gets married or whatever, and then IF it comes down to it and he wants her to have his last name and just say for arguments sake the judge grants it, you don't have to pay to change it. If it was the other way around and you gave her his last name and then regret it and want to change it You would have to fight him to do it and prob pay for it too!
