Well, what do you want to do with your body? Tone? Burn fat, cardio, etc?
I rarely will ever go to the gym so I'm all about at home work outs. There are a lot of great home work out dvds. You can't go wrong with Jillian Michaels, she's great. I love love weight training. It will tone and lift your body and just make you look so luscious lol.
Motivation wise, I always tell myself that I will never regret a work out but I'd probably regret not getting off my ass and exercising like I should. There WILL be results and they will be worth it.
