Going out tonight!

posted 3rd Oct
And I am super nervous to leave my 4 month old! I am a SAHM and she is EBF. My husband is going to be staying at home with both kids, I am not worried about our 7 year old (except that he might let her watch too much tv lol) but I am super worried, which I know I shouldn't be, about our 4 month old. He has never had her by himself over night. I am also worried that I don't have enough breastmilk pumped...should I tell him to mix it with formula? I am leaving around 6 so she will have two or three more feedings after that, then she sleeps through the night and will have two or three feedings in the morning before I get home. I have no way to get home tonight because I will be drinking. I need some comfort ladies!

It will be ok! I'm sure your DH will do fine. I'm not sure about mixing formula with breast milk because I formula feed but just have fun and relax!

Thanks! I am so super excited to go out but super nervous at the same time. It doesn't help that my DH says he is nervous too lol. I know he will be great, it will just be the first time I have been away from my baby over night, or actually at all really!

awhh I would be a little nervous too but maybe the 7 yr old will help? haha. What time does she go to bed? if you're leaving at 6 I'd imagine he wouldn't have her up long after you leave

She goes to bed around 8-10, if she goes to bed at 8 she usually wakes up around 11 to eat and then sleeps through til 7:30am. If she goes to bed at 10ish she will just sleep til 7:30am....with all my luck she will end up not sleeping through the night for him....ahhhh, I have to stop thinking about bad things that can happen lol

We left DS overnight for the 1st time about a week ago now. I also didn't know if had enough BM pumped so gave his grandparents some formula just in case, but they've had him before and I know he takes it and is fine with it. They didn't mix it, just gave him the formula when the BM ran out

Yeah she hated formula when I tried to give it to her last time. I just told him he should mix three parts bm with one part formula...hope it works out!
