Nothing you can do about it. My son only takes one 1 hour nap a day and then passes out for 5-10 minutes every so often. But for the most part he's up all day. Has been like that since 4 weeks old. He's now 2 months old. Its fine for me because he sleeps 8-9 hours at night.

My 6 week old daughter is the same exact way. She always wants to be held and will only stand being in her swing or bouncer for about five minutes. Have you considered baby wearing? It's the only way I can get anything done around the house.

For the first 2-3 months, my son would only nap in my arms. I would often stick him in the moby wrap and sit at the computer. I played a lot of online games to keep me busy. It's tiring, but normal. He actually was taking 5 cat naps a day until 5 months old, then slowly started to condense them. He is a great sleeper now at 1 1/2. He sleeps 11 hours at night and naps for 2-3 hours once a day.

Do you have a swing or bouncer? It's important to give yourself a break and be able to set him down, even if he's not sleeping.

he will only go in his swing or bouncer for maybe 10 mins at a time if that it just seems like i get no break at all

DS does that. He naps for 20 minutes at a time tops during the day and wakes up and screams if you arent paying attention to him. After he eats he takes another mini nap. He only sleeps for about 3 hours at a time at night

I remember feeling that way, it's hard. I pretty much resigned myself to doing nothing but holding the baby. Get a kindle fire or something you can do while holding him. It gets easier, trust me. My son loved tummy time around 2-3 months, he would lay on the floor with his toys for an hour.
