Ah, no. You completely misread it.

The name-calling thing was in response to the actual topic of this post. SO calling the lady a bitch and all, or whatever he "technically" called her, and then others chiming in about their SOs doing similar stuff.


And I suggest you look through the Sex & Relationships forum... LOTS of women stay with men not only that they don't seem to like, but also those that disrespect them, call them names, won't help, degrade them. And there are plenty of others with seemingly normal SOs who have nothing but smurf to say about them anyway, for whatever reason. That was what I was referring to.

And I agree, every successful HAPPY couple I know have told me stories about "those bad days" lol So I'm not worried. We don't do it very often at all, but more than 2 in the 2 years we've been together. But we're happy   And that's all that matters.

Hahah. Sometimes, it's needed. If my DH is being a dick, I'll tell him he's being a dick. It's not really to insult him, it's just because I want him to know I don't appreciate the attitude!

Every couple has to fight. My parents have been married for over 20 years. They don't scream and yell at each other...But a few times a year, they will argue and give each other the silent treatment for a few days. Hah. Fighting every once in a while is healthy. It allows you to get some anger or frustration out...And it gives you a chance to sit down and talk about what caused the fight afterward!

DH and I bicker at each other, but he's so damn laidback that he hardly ever gets mad at me. I mean...I could count the times on one hand and we've been together for years, haha.

My Mom and Step Dad got in a HUGE fight that lasted a couple of days before the wedding til they both showed up to get married LOL
