I had my hair dyed darker than yours and I got to a very light blonde...eventually. I had it bleached a couple times. It did damage the smurf out of my hair though because I had to be so impatient, lol. I did a lot of conditioning treatments and my hair can take quite a bit of abuse but I ended up just cutting 6 inches off recently.

If you do it gradually it should be fine.

Yeah, I'm not in a rush to get it light blonde, I just want it there eventually, I want to try to keep as much length as I can, because I don't have much to give up

I am going lighter super gradually this time. I was so sad I had to cut off my hair. It was the longest its ever been, halfway down my back. Now its still past my shoulders but I still miss it. Stupid me and my impatience....

Yeah I did that last time I bleached my hair.   It was pretty long, probably 3-4 inches past my shoulders and I bleached it like 4x in a row and had to cut A LOT off.

I went from black to this one year:
It only took 2 times of bleaching it. (my friend did it, I did have a lot of damage to my hair though)
I miss it so now I'm letting my natural blonde grow out then getting it back to that color slowly. Good luck!
