Quoting melindapple:" I use disposable for DD, and never even considered cloth. I was just wondering (in case i ever decide ... [snip!] ... order them online, or buy them in a store? I've honestly never even looked at cloth diapers, or done any research on them."1. At the breastfed stage you don't need to do anything, just throw the whole diaper in the wash. Once they eat solids and their poop is more solid you can dump, swish, scrape, or spray it into the toilet then put the diaper in your pail/wetbag until wash time. It sounds gross, but isn't it more gross to have a diaper full of poop sitting in the trash? Also, technically it's illegal to put human waste in a landfill, yet people do it by the thousands.

I actually live across the corner from a cloth diaper store.. but I'm cheap so I normally look for deals online."Agree! I am using cloth diapers with a cover. We have spent less than $200. We have the covers that are one size. So they adjust to be small or large! We needed six covers and we have a ton of cloth diapers. Which there are many types of cloth diapers as in what kind of fabric. Anyways WAY cheaper. There is a ton online but I found a store in OMaha so I drive there!

Quoting **Jen:" I just want to add a few things for the washing/stains question. Sun is a great stain remover! It's also ... [snip!] ... for air drying!) never use dryer sheets they lower the absorbancy of the diapers. Same goes for fabric softener in the wash."Get wool dryer balls! Besides, think of how you'll save money on dryer sheets and cut down on the number of nasty chemicals you get on your family's skin. Also if you DO use the dryer, make sure you use EXTRA LOW or you can melt your diapers/covers lol.
