Reaction to depo shot?

I had my 6 week check-up today and got my depo shot. Now, about three hours later, my entire arm where I had the shot is really sore and feels like it is on fire. Is this normal? I never had this reaction before when I was on it in the past. Then again, this is also the first time I have had it in my arm, I always got it in my hip before.

The one and only shot I got in June(NEVER AGAIN) was in my arm and it actually hurt like a bitch for the rest of the day.

The nurse just asked which arm I wanted it in so I just assumed it was ok.

Its normal....Depo is the devil. I'd rather be pregnant than bleed like I did for four months again.

I never had any trouble with it when I was on it as a teenager, which is why I decided to go with it. Now I am thinking I should have tried something else.

the only time my arm felt like that was when i got my gardasil shot.
that was soo freaken painful.

My arm always would hurt if I got the depo injected in either one. It usually would be sore for 3 days at the most. Most of the time, I would ask them to give it to me in my hip because it sucked getting it in the arm! Lol
