Um, no, no, you can't!

Did you offer 156 and everything else racked it up three grand?

Our sellers were very motivated and had a 2nd mortgage and were moving out of state, but the same house when we sold it- (5 years later in a run down economy in the middle of last winter) we listed it at $219 and accepted $203

That's one thing that worries me.. Are the bids. My friend just bought her first house but every time they made an offer they were Immediately outbid. Sometimes I just wonder how many of the bids are actually real versus just trying to get you to go up.

God I couldn't imagine what you paid for your mortgage!

It was probably the interest that upped it $3k. That's how much we were charged in interest

Do they tell you what the actual offers were or is it a guessing game?

I'm paying $257 month for ten years, including taxes on a $30k mortgage. It's awesome!

It seems like nearly all of the homes now are either foreclosed or short sales! The oly problem is we are on quite a time crunch. We have to be out of our rented townie by the end of December.. Now we could sign a short lease but at the same time I'd prefer to be in our home before may and have everything prepared for the new baby especially if we plan on a home birth.

Just a guessing game. It was the same way with our old house. It was bank owned, so we did asking price and paid our closing costs. Thankfully they both worked out for us.

Our close when we bought and sold was just under a month each time

Okay, I know short sales are what is left of the loan, is that the same for foreclosures? I'm not too educatd on either.
Haha that last part totally reminded me of Father of the Bride

We put offers on a few house and we were out bid on all of them. Around here you can't buy a house for much less then the asking price. All those houses we bid on we offered asking price and they all got higher offers. It was really discouraging. I think that's one reason why I settled for this house. I hate this house...

So it wasn't a short sale or foreclosure? I keep seeing that phrase as well, very MOTIVATED sellers.
Wow you didn't lose much at all! I just can't believe these homes that sold in '05, '06 for double what they are going for now and for what looks like a brand new home!
