Just because they know about it, doesn't mean they can consent. Their brain is not developed enough to understand consequences of their actions. It's ridiculous to think otherwise when it has been proved by science. You can't argue with it.

I think if children are properly educated on the topic then yes they are very well aware of what consequences could come from making such a big decision. It isn't that their brains aren't developed, it is that at that age they're cocky and don't believe it will happen to them.

Then it would come down to what that specific states guidelines are regarding statue of limitations. Also whether or not a DA would go forward with charges since this state doesn't define a minimum age.

And neither are 18 year olds not here in nebraska. So 18 does not prove anything. Also if they werent physically ready they wouldnt be having periods and getting pregnant

Yes ANYONE at the age of 13 can say no. They know what sex is and they know what can happen. The society we live in does not help the issue.

No but a 13 year old does. And no my friend im smurfing 19 and my SO is 25. Ive been with him for almost a year and a half.
