TTC. Confused

posted 3rd Oct
Hello,

I am new to this site. And I suppose I hate to be one of those "Am I pregnant" people, but here goes.

My husband and I have been TTC baby#2 since June. I have usually had very irregular periods (like sometimes going up to 6 mths without one). We have been having...whoopie? on my fertile days and so far, notta. Although, recently (past 3mths) my periods have been completely normal and coming nearly to the day.
Now, I am about 3 days late and have had 3 BFN. My symptoms are
*Tiredness, not overwhelming, but finding it harder to get up and going to bed much earlier than normal
*Clear, sticky, vaginal discharge
*Bloating and cramps occasional
*Lower back pain, especially on the right for some reason
*Overall, in a pissy mood lol
*Mild nausea usually in late morning, early afternoon
*Of course, late on my period

So, essentially I have these symptoms, have missed my period, but keep getting BFN (With a EPT early response). So, my question is, shall I abandon the possibility of pregnancy and move on. Or, should I wait and take another test later? I don't have medical insurance ATM, so a trip to the Dr. for a blood test, should be a last resort. Thank you all for entertaining my rambling  lol

I would wait and take a test later. I would also reconsider TTC without insurance.

I would just say you're not pregnant. But take prenatals and stay healthy just in case.

You should probably get some insurance before you continue to TTC though.

Wait a week and retest. 3 days late can still be too early for some people. Do you know exactly when you ovulated?

If you're pregnant, it should be showing up on a test by now. I have to agree with the other ladies. I'd stop actively trying until you have some form of insurance. You don't want the expense of a baby on top of all the medical bills that come along with prenatal care and childbirth.

True but if she can't pay for a blood test to find out if she is pregnant, I doubt she can pay out of pocket.

Wait a few days and take another test. If it's still negative, you can either resume TTC or wait around for your period. Since your period has a history of being irregular, it might just be that.

No.
What she's doing is waiting to get pregnant then applying for state coverage. In the mean time she can't get pregnant and can't get the answer as to why because she can't afford to be seen. Makes zero sense.

Up to $20,000 without insurance? Yeah, probably not coming out of her pocket.

Ooooooh, wait. She can apply for Medicaid and everyone else can pay for it...

Can't pay for a blood test? Because babies are cheaper anyway.

But what if she ends up high risk?A single ultrasound at a well baby checkup is $200-400 without insurance.

Well, this turned into a really rude posting quick. Especially because none of you know my situation.

Note the fact that I said ATM, my husband got a new job about 2 months ago, we cannot get coverage through his company until 3 mths of employment. Yanno...the 90 day rule. So until then, we don't have insurance.

But thank you all for assuming that I am a welfare case. Never had it in my life. I will be getting rid of my subscription to this site now. Thanks to all who posted real answers to my question.
