39 and 1/2 hours!

It is now 10 AM. The last time I took a drag off a cigarette was at 6:30 PM on Monday. They say day 2 is the hardest, but I think I will be OK. At least I hope I will.

I have tried countless times. I was successful for about a month earlier in the year.

This time I don't have anyone around me who smokes, so I am thinking this will be the reason for my success.

Good job! My DH didnt even tell me he had quit smoking for the first week because he was afraid he would fail and would disappoint me. It will be 7 years in December since he quit smoking. If he can do it, I know you can too

I know how he feels. When I quit for that month, I didn't tell anyone until I was sure of myself.

I am so ashamed I picked it back up, that a select few people actually know I started again.

I am not going to publicly announce it this time around. My husband is very supportive. I have been smoking since I was about 14, and I am 26 now. DH has never been a smoker. Ever. So he is trying so hard to be patient with my mood swings, and my weird (More then usual) behavior lately.

Congrats to your husband.   I love hearing of people quitting. It definitely gives me hope.

Well best of luck. I need to quit. I quit when i was pregnant with my 7car month old and idk why i started again... terrrible idea.

Chantix (Ex?) Really does help. I have been on it 3 different times. The first time I wasn't prepared to deal with the side effects like I thought I was, and stopped taking it after a week.

The second time I had a better understanding of what it was going to do to me, so I was able to take it head on. That was when I was successful with quitting for that month. Sadly everyone around me, (excluding my husband) smoked, and it wasn't long before I failed myself.

This time. We live in a new place, by ourselves, and rarely ever have company over. So I am thinking and hoping I get 100% success.
