I guess homebirth and the fact that birth isn't a medical emergency never crosses people's minds. Fingers crossed for the big day happening soon! And no infections!

Her baby is safer at home cooking longer then being iduced by pitocin and squeezed and then have dips in HR and taken out before its ready,

pretty sure I am going to put my faith in my midwife whose been practicing for 30 years, 0% maternal death rate, 0% fetal dearh rate with home birth and has her Masters over some internet know-it-all. I know what precautions to take, but thank you for your concern.

SO awesome to hear that. I wish more people were educated about birthing babies! I can't wait to be a midwife... One day I'll get there

While it is not something I would personally do, and probably many others on here, I know how much it means to you. Anything you decide Ill support you and back you up and I know you would never do something to risk you or the baby....even though Im the type to worry and be terrified about it. I hope he decides to get things moving for you soon. <3

With my second my water broke on whatever day Easter was this year and I had her the 11th. I was due the 4th. I belive it was a week or so after my water broke.
Here is some hope though, she came in 1 and a half hours! one push and she was out, it was so fast!
My midwife also said to wait after my water broke and I was positive for that bacteria (cant remember what it is atm...tired) My water broke with my son also and I rushed in, wish I hadn't since it took 23 hours!!

you don't have to go in the second your water breaks, in fact thats usually the cause of the infections that they say they need you to come in to prevent. As long as no one is going in there to poke around then everything is flushing out not in, and thus there is actually a very low risk of infection. When you go into the hospital all of a sudden people start shoving their hands up there and introducing infection risks. She and her midwife are monitoring properly, she and baby will be fine. My water leaked off and on for 10 weeks and my baby was just fine.

Good luck, OP! I was already in labor when my water broke, so I don't have any advice or anything. But I wish you the best of luck with your home birth.

Yikes, how frustrating! I hope things start moving along.

Good luck I hope you go into labor soon. Its apparent you have everything under control. I would be doing like you and monitoring. Going into a hospital puts you in danger of having constant exams and having time limits put on your labor.

I just hate how we can't let our bodies do what they need to do, it's always an emergency and a rush and hurry baby it kinda thing. I look up to Ina may and hope to do things like she did. I've read a lot I her books on midwifery and next year I will be starting doula training and becoming a LC.... It's just hard with 3 little ones. By the time I'm 35 I'm hoping to be a CNM
