cooking to impress!

what is your favorite dinner to cook for company?

I'm home,and in a rare mood to cook....

so... give me great ideas!!

so far... thoughts are...

crab legs, some kind of fish, wiht rice pilaf, and home made rolls

or.. I have a great meatball recipe.. mini meatballs with a sweet sauce.. and rolls and mashed potatoes and steamed veggies.. (asparagus?)

but.. was really hoping for ideas of something I haven't made

Pork tenderloin with apple stuffing parmasen noodles mushrooms and a nice salad or cheese cappelletti with a Cesar salad

thought about better than sex cake... but honestly I'm not a big desert person.

sounds good.. but the friend I'm cooking for... he always makes me pork tenderloin. It's either his specialty.. lol, or all he can cook

Does he like seafood? I would do the crab legs like you said. Now I want some. Yum.

or.. once I made a FANTASTIC halibut with mango salsa!

OMG! I love halibut.

I like a nice juicy steak when I am trying to impress  .

I always like Fettucini Alfredo with a salad and french bread. It's simple easy. And you can always find a nice wine to go with it.

I'm late in this because our time difference sucks lol. So I'm commenting anyway  


I make for company ...

Homemade spiced chicken schnitzel with a side and a big salad.
Lasagne with sweet potato chips and a big salad
Roast with sides and salad
Beef stew with a side and a salad
Any type of curry on rice with some naan bread
Or a stir fry on rice

Those are just a few that popped into my head


And I always prepare some form of dessert.
