Doing things to your appearnce even if your SO...

Desnt like it...


For instance say your hubby or SO likes long hair, but you want to cut it, he says he doesnt really care but you know he does, so you keep it long so he likes it.


Or you want a facial peircing and Hubby says its trashy butnyou really want one.

Do you do it inspite of what your hubby thinks? Or just keep it the way he likes it?

If I'm really passionate about it, I'd do it anyway. If I'm on the fence probably not. I used to do all sorts of crazy stuff to my hair... color, cut, etc. and SO didn't love it but he got used to it. He also wasn't crazy about my nose piercing but got over it and now even thinks its cute.

I do what I want to my appearance regardless to what DH likes / wants. I have to be happy with how I look first.

But, I am a plain person that rarely makes changes so likely it wouldn't be an issue.

SO didn't like the idea of my septum, but after I did it, he loves it.

I still do what I want, like crazy smurf to my hair, because he shaves his head, even though he knows I HATE it.

My hubby loves me with long hair. He has always hated short hair. Ive been growing mine out for a little while and its pretty long now but i want to cut it so bad just so its easier to deal with. But im trying to keep it long as long as i can because i know he loves it.

I do whatever I want despite what he likes. I do what makes me feel comfortable and happy and if he doesnt it like it oh wells lol

I would consider his reasoning, but ultimately it's my decision.

DH has a thing for long hair so I keep mine pretty long for him. I love long hair anyways so it's not really a compromise! He knows I love facial hair so he keeps his goatee & mustache.

If he ever told me I couldn't cut my hair or get a piercing, I would do it to spite him. But he knows it's my body & I will do what I want with it. He will most likely voice his opinion on whether he likes it or not though.

i would do it anyways, regarding what my SO wants. do what makes you happy. after all, it is your body. and your appearance.

My hubby loves me with long hair but hey I'm my item person as is he. I hate it when he balds himself but its his choice.

wiht my ex husband... for the longest time I did things for him.. even though he never tried to force it or anything.

but... when I finally cut my hair the way I liked it.. and pierced my nose because I like it... I felt sexier.

I do tend to do as he likes. But we usually are on the same page. The only thing I do pretty much for him is grow out my hair. I usually keep it long enough to almost sit on but this summer was just way too hot so I chopped it off. He wasnt a huge fan but he likes it now, just really wants me to regrow it again lol

So also wants me to grow my hair long so ill see what I can do. As far as piercings tattoos go its my body & he doesn't care what I do

no. This is my body. I will ask his input but if I want it I will get it done. I know way to many women that are like "Oh my husband would not let me get this" he knows I will do as I want with my body. Talking in Piercings, tattoos and hair. He loves it most the time lol.

My SO hates short hair, and I hate long hair... So I keep it short. I'm going to dye parts of my hair purple, SO doesn't really like it... but I do, so I am doing it. lol I'd probably get piercings, too... idk, I wont change who I am just because it's something he doesn't like.
