re: Doing things to your appearnce even if your SO...

My SO loves long hair, but I recently cut it, he was so sad lol but it will grow back. I love piercings and ear gauges but SO hates them, but I have them and he's gotten so use to them that he now goes out and buys me new gauges and tells me what would make a cool piercing lol, he now even finds them to be attractive, go figure lol.

Me and him have two totally different taste, if I did everything he wanted I'd be miserable. Of course I still want him to find me attractive, so if he wants me to try a certain look I'll give it a go, but even if my look isn't what he'd normally go for he still wants me.

My DH hates makeup so I haven't even owned any in years. He literally cant even look me in the eye if I'm wearing any at all....

I keep him in mind, but if I want to do it Im gonna. Im not his child, he cant tell me what I can and cant do. I used to have REALLY long hair. After I had my son I decided I wanted to cut like 20' off. I talked to him about it and he said no, no, no!! I did it anyways and turns out he likes it WAY better then my long hair. He says it gives me a sexy edgy look?? lol I dont tell him what he can and cant do, I hate his hair but he likes it and thats all that matters. lol He is covered in tattoos and they are all black in white, I told him I wished he would have got SOME color cause he looks like he just got straight out of jail. lol...jk. But you know what I mean.

As far as the hair goes you can always grow it back out (most people)or change the color. If you are that worried he will not like it maybe compromise in the middle and keep it a little longer than shoulder length with shorter layers. This way you also have a chance to get used to it as many girls with long hair regret cutting it too short. As far as facial piercings... my hubby hated them and asked that i never got any besides my nose since I had that before him. I went and got a monroe piercing and told him that if he still finds it disgusting once its done healing we could talk about it. Now he actually finds it kind of sexy and just asks that I don't have a huge gaudy ring in. just compromise a little with him so he doesn't get too upset

I told my husband at the very, very beginning of our relationship, if I want to do something with my hair or body, I'll take his opinion into consideration, but if he doesn't like it, meh, oh well.
If he decided to get a tattoo or shave his head, cool, whatever he wants to do.
We're both pretty mellow when it comes to changes in appearance, because at the end of the day, we're still the same people.

I do what pleases me most of the time. I'll consider what he thinks, but at the end of the day it is my body. If I'm really on the fence, and he has a STRONG opinion, I'll nto do it usually.

He doesn't like tattoos/piercings. I know this, but it is my body. I've had snake bites, nose rings, tongue ring, belly button and nipple rings. Meh, he gets over it. lol.

When SO & i got together i had my noise pierced and he thinks its so ugly so i dont ware it. i miss it very much & i think im goign to put it in. SO says he hates red hair but i asked him before about dying my hair red he said that same thing your SO did.
my ex hubby on the other hand, i couldn get a tattoo or piercing with out him. i got my lip pierced and he said it was so fkn ugly and told me to take it out. gave me smurf till i did so. he wouldnt let me do smurf.

I take his input into consideration. I use to have short blond/brown hair.. he preferred it long, and my natural color. Dying it was time consuming and always a hassle so I decided to just let it grow out my natural color.

My looks don't really matter to me, so I wouldn't do something if I knew SO didn't think it was attractive.

SO doesn't really like me having long hair so I keep it short. It's easier for me to manage that way anyway.

THe same way that SO won't grow out a beard or a moustache cos he knows I can't handle that.

I do it anyways. My SO like me a natural brunette and I like to be blonde...I'm blonde.

There is only three things my husband will never forgive me for.
1) Getting a tattoo
2) Cutting my hair
3) dying my hair
.... But as well i dont want tattoos on my body and i dont like short hair for me and i love my natural black hair .so It doesnt matter.

He does ask me whenver he wants to do something to his appearance. Like He asked if he can get a tattoo and i said yes, so he had it done.
We ask for each others opinion!.
