Toddlers with ''adhd''

LO has been acting pretty crazy with is behaivor, and it seems to be only getting worse within the past year. I thought it was just maybe he was stressed due to our situations, but the more structured and stabilized I get our environment and living situation to be, the worse it seems to have gotten, well at least more noticeable.
I can't tell you how many people (close and strangers) have made the comment that he's either not like the rest of kids his age, or he acts crazy, or that they think he probably has adhd. I,.myself, and his father both were diagnosed with it. I'm in complete denial. Obviously he can't be diagnosed with it, but is there anything I can do? His behavior is so out of control I almost can't handle it on top of everything.
He has poor impulse control, he hits other kids, never gives second thought to anything, if i want him to fully finish his food it takes 2 hours because he pays more attention to a scrap tiny piece of paper on the ground, or ac rack in the table more than he will actually eating. I thogut these things were normal 3 year old issues, but apparently his are just so far out of control. Even his doctor suggested it.
