I have a child, I am still EXTREMELY pro-choice. Any woman, for any reason, should have the option to terminate a pregnancy.

Well it is a medical proceedure and taking that into consideration, I do not think abortions are THAT expensive. $400-$700 dollars is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than having a child. Not to mention if they were $50 a lot of women wouldn't even use birth control.

So where are the women who live paycheck to paycheck supposed to get that 400-700? They shouldn't be denied an abortion because they cannot afford one. And not all insurances cover it.

So people who can scrounge up $400 should pay it, and then people who say they can't shouldnt? I mean you have to charge for medical services, sorry but abortions aren't free. They shouldn't have to give you one because you can't afford it.....

And you shouldn't be forced to carry a child you don't want becasue you cannot afford to terminate.

There should be better programs out there to assist women with the cost of an abortion. (I have never looked into if there are programs to help with the cost so I don't know what is out there right now)

if anything, it should be income based, or on a sliding scale.

Perhaps. But at the same time, what if I told you your income was going to be based on how much money your customers had? You can set your cost at $500 for your service, but if an unemployed person comes in, you get $10.

That's not really fair to the people who own/operate/perform at a clinic. Any clinic.

No it's not. But that is where gov't funding comes in to make up the difference.

Quoting ♥ axel sean n me:" there is also another type of abortion that is for further along and its a sort of salt solution thats put on the baby , im not going to go into what it does but its incredibly disturbing and sad."

from what I understand they dont do that one anymore because it was uneffective.

Yes, well, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of women know they are pregnant by the time they are finished with their fourth month of pregnancy (sixteen weeks).

And yes, protection fails, but to abort something that could live outside the womb is murder in my HUMBLE opinion. I think four months is more than enough time for a woman to find out she is pregnancy and decide whether she wants to have the baby or not.

I'm pro choice as well. You obviously missed her and I's side conversation where she was saying how she really started to love her baby around 20 weeks and I said it'll be different once you have a child, that the next time you'll love the baby even more right from the start.
We weren't even directly talking about abortion, I just said I forgot what it was like when I was pregnant with my son but now that I have a child I get attached to the baby when I'm pregnant even faster. I told her that I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and it devastated me because my baby had died whether I was 9 weeks or 20 weeks.
