Breast is best you get antibodies from moms milk and babies have less digestion problems there are numerous reasons they recommend it but lots of healthy babies grew up on formula. But still breast is best if your considering what to do I would do some research good luck

What does being young have to do with breast feeding or not? I was young when I had my first, and I breastfed.

Formula is adequate, but does not contain all the nutrients in breast milk. Nothing compares to breast milk.

Breast is best and sooo much easier than formula. I did formula with my first but realized it was a big mistake after breast feeding number two.

May I ask the reason you aren't for it? Do you think its disgusting?

I was also a teen mother and I wasn't taught anything true about breastfeeding. I thought it was for guys not babies but once I got the correct information I regretted not nursing my first. Its an amazing feeling to feel you are giving the best but not all moms can nurse, there's nothing wrong with formula feeding your child, its not as good as breastmilk but they will grow up either way

What does being young have to do with breastfeeding?

Formula is crap compared to breastmilk

Breast is free, easy, and the best nutrition you can give your child

IMO, if you can breastfeed, you should

Being young has nothing to do with being for breastfeeding.

I had my daughter young, I'm breastfeeding. My mother had me young, she breastfed me.

Formula can't compare to breastmilk. Not even close.

yeah i have been researching it and yeah i understand that breastfeeding is best for your baby but ive been watching this program on breastfeeding and quite a few of the mums on there actually stopped breastfeeding because it caused them so many problems and it put them through alot of pain.

I was young and misinformed. I was determined the second time around. It just didn't help me lose any baby weight though.

It doesn't hurt or 'cause problems'. There's a little pain for the first two weeks or so while you adjust to it, but that's it.

it can be painful or uncomfy at first, but once you get through those first weeks, it shouldn't be bad at all

The first few weeks can be a bit tough but it gets a lot easier once you get the hang of it.
