Ive been so busy since Brynn arrived that I havent had much time to myself. Brynn's two month check up went great. She was 10 lbs 13oz (23rd%) and 22 3/4 inches (62nd%)... she holds her head up steady. When she has tummy time she will scoot herself across the floor head first with her strong legs. She prefers standing and sitting up than tummy time... I wouldnt be surprised if she decided to go straight to walking and skips crawling lol. She coos and smiles and blows spit bubbles and is trying to laugh for real now.
The girls are in love with her. The girls are doing great too... Sophia is ahead of the game in everything she is being taught. She is up there at about the same level as my little brother thats in kindergarten this year. They play school and he tests her on what he has learned for the week and she either knows it, or is very close with her answers. Asyia is on the PreK learning level already. These kids will kick ass when they finally get to school
They got their very own and very first library cards last week. They checked out their first books. They were so excited. Sophia checked one out about dinosaurs and Asyia picked one out about making pancakes from scratch lol.
Went to a Chiropractor for my back pain last week... found out via xray that I have a fractured vertebra in my lumbar region. They want me to go see a specialist and have a CT scan done and wont touch me anymore until I do. I guess even after almost three years of having it, its still bad because it never healed properly. So we are working on getting that done. From what Ive seen online, it seems surgery is the only way to fix it now... idk. We will see when I can actually get the scan done and see the specialist. My biopsy results for the cervical csncer scare came back clear for now. They want me to have a pap done every 6 months to keep an eye on it. So thats a blessing.
My step mom is scheduled to haveher Csection Mondsy morning sometime. Im excited and cant wait to see if she is having a boy or a girl. Im praying its a girl because she has two boys and has always wanted another girl (her first baby was a girl and oassed away)... this will be her last baby... there will be no talking my dad into another one after this... 7 kids is enough for him, especially since he will be almost 70 when this kid graduates high school lol.
Britton and I are doing great. He applied for a job as a State Trooper, he also found out that the Army doesnt have dependency restrictions, so he went and talked to a recruiter and got all his application forms and booklets and is working on getting his letters of recommendation. He is applying to be a warrent officer. The recruiter told him that all his job experience and skills with fire and his job now will definitely help get him the spot. So we will see. He seems very sure about getting into the Army. So all my military wife friends, if you have any info, real life experiance on being an Army wife and having kids with you, and have any info not in the family booklet on Army life... let me know what you know... please.
Ill have to try to get on my actual computer later to post pics of everyone. Just wanted to give a quick update on everyone.

That's so wonderful! Yes, the army does have dependency restrictions, he will have to get a waiver if you guys are married and he has at least a bachelors degree. To be a wo, he has to enlist first, wait until promoted to sgt to even think about being a warrant officer. I am disturbed at the info the recruiter gave him and I'd be consulting with another. I love being an army wife, but decided I will wait until after this baby to join. I seriously went to meps and all and decided to wit. My DH is stationed in Italy, and we absolutely love it. Just be sure to check the dependency waiver and time in service for warrant officer.

Eta, the benefits are wonderful, you must be flexible because this life is NOT for everyone, and they really will own your husband. From my experience, duty stations really vary on how relaxed they are. Just work with them and they will work with you. I get very close to my husbands chain of command. I like it that way because of previous issues as well as they know they can count on me as a spouse too!

Thanks for the info. Ill talk to my husband about it. I could have misunderstood what he was saying to me about it all because of the kids tunning around and making dinner etc. Ill definitely bring it up with the recruiter too. He has talked to Navy and Air Force and they all shut him down saying they werent handing out dependency waivers right now... the Army recruiter said he could join? So idk. Again, Ill mention it to my husband... thanks a lot for the info.

Is your husband a college grad? He would need to go in as at least an e4. Also, I was thinking Cwo. Please just recheck. I had to get a dependency waiver for myself and I have a bachelors. It really was the hold up which I am thankful for.
Eta, my friends husband had 48 hours notice he was to deploy to Afghanistan this past june. Be prepared for anything. My biggest issue, when my husband left, we did not get a final goodbye kiss or anything. Talk about distraught! My kids simply did not understand, and I will address that with the proper channels when our guys return safely. Just be prepared for the unexpected.

He has like a million certifications from his job as a firefighter/forest ranger. No degree. Idk. Ill bring that all up with him tonight when he gets home from work.
Ive heard all those kinds of stories browsing bg and talking to friends... ive always heard you have to be ready all the time and at tge drop of a hat. Ive been preparing myself mentally for that and to expect it ever since he first brought up joining.

I don't think you can ever prepare mentally, but it's an exiting adventure that never has a dull moment. Google Army regulation 601-210. It's the army reg on enlistments. It will help you guys a ton during this process.
