My Labor

Hello there! Want to let everyone know my Labor Story. I went in Sunday evening and has the cervital placed (painful). They pulled it out at 5am and I had a shower and then started Pitocin by 6am. I wanted to try my hardest to go with out the epi. So I put forth my best effort. The progress was not speedy with dilation so my doctor ended up breaking my water at 12:00pm. Once the water was broken and the Pitocin increasing I was feeling very powerful contractions. They were so painful but I kept with it. By 4:40 I was only 4cm dilated and the contractions seemed like they were on top of each other. I could not believe how painful it was so I was begging for the epi. I didn't get the epi. Until 6:30. I went from feeling like I was going to die to amazing relief. I could not feel a thing around 7:30. I was feeling wonderful and enjoying my family thru contractions. It was wonderful. Well by 8:30 my doc. Wanted the epi. Lowered. She wanted me to be able to feel contractions for when it came time for pushing. By 9pm I was ready to push. This point I was starting to feel more and more. She then said she wanted to lower my epi. Again. Really what she did was turn off my epi. Completely and lied to me about it. One hour of pushing and I could feel EVERYTHING. It was the worst experience of my life. Also my doc. Kicked my family out of the room with out consulting me. So I lost my great support system and my wonderful epi. I pushed for 2 more hours with the help of my husband and 3 other nurses. The pain was so intense. I could not bare it. I was almost begging for a C-Section. Finally after those 2 more hours of pushing (3 total) my beautiful baby girl was out. She was perfect. 7.4lbs and 20 inches long. Kassidy Alyse arrived at 12:10am. Boy do I feel like a champ. :-)

Wow can't believe they kicked your family out, I would have been pissed.

Omg she kicked ur family out AND lowered ur epidural??? I would've been choking those doctors & nurses.. but congratulations on ur baby!
