If you take or have taken the mini pill

Did it mess up your periods?
I was on the mini pill after I had LO while I was breastfeeding, and AF was pretty regular the whole time. Only difference was it was really light, and sometimes only lasted 3 days.
I've been back on it since having to stop my stronger pill. I've been on it for about 8 months now. The past 2 months AF has been all over the show. It was regular to start with, then I'd go a month without it, then it would come back. BUt just these past 2 months or so, it's been horrible. Last month I had AF for 14 days, then about 3 weeks off. Then it came back and I had it for 17 days. Then it stopped for 2 days, but now I've had spotting for about 3 days now. It's driving me insane. I went to the doctor, and he reckons it's because of the mini pill. I have to go have a pelvic ultrasound just to rule out anything serious. But he said if it's the mini pill, I pretty much just have to "put up with it"
Ugh, has it happened to anyone else?

I never had a period on the mini-pill. As soon as I got my period (13 months PP) I switched to a regular pill. Maybe try that if your OB says it's okay.

I can't go on regular pills   they give me migraines, which can lead to strokes. We talked about my other options, and decided that the implanon would be the best for me. But we want to start trying for another baby soon, so implanon wouldn;t be any good. I waiting til my pill tray ran out before I stopped taking them, but I think I'll just stop taking them now. It's driving me nuts.

I was on the mini pill for about two years and in that two years I was lucky if I got my period for 2-3 days 3-5 times a year. I was always stressed and panicking hoping I was not pregnant. I ended up getting the implanon and apart from a bit or I should say alot( 13kg) of weight gain it has been fine.

That's what I thought.... most people didn't get their period at all... which is why I can't figure out why mine has been lasting so long. I thought it must have been related to my iron tablets.... but the doctor said they weren't related.
omg, I can't afford to gain that much weight. I've already gained 20kilos in 2 years. The doctor was worried about my weight gain, and wii fit is now saying I'm obese
