I'm so sorry. I'm afraid a lot of abusive people use threats to gain leverage in hopes you'll fold and not stand your ground. they'll say and do almost anything to regain control. Stay strong Xo

Sounds like he just went to AA to make it seem like he was trying to get better. But getting smurffy on the phone and hanging up . . sounds like he has some anger issues . . .

By not coming he was trying to gain back some of the control he had over you.

If he's really going to change he will keep changing whether or not you are there.
