Induction all the way.

Abortion is not selfish. That is sometimes giving the baby a better chance.

I think when getting an abortion, you are thinking of both you and your unborn baby's life...when you induce for no reason, you're thinking of just yourself and how uncomfortable you are or whatever bullsmurf excuse you have. Kwim?

Well........ abortion isn't giving the baby ANY chance.

But I know what you were trying to say.

I voted induction.
With abortion, you're thinking about your future- sometimes it's just not the right time, and you're allowing yourself to continue planning your life.
With induction, you're putting a child that you decided to have at risk. A child that will be born, not a fetus.

Induction. If the baby isn't ready to come then it isn't ready to come and the mother's reason for wanting to induce is for herself, therefore it is selfish. Whatever that reason may be.

Abortion isn't selfish period. No child should be brought into this world if they aren't wanted.

yeah she chose to stay pregnant so she has to put the babies welfare first instead of her needs.

This is coming from someone who wanted to be induced at 36 weeks with my youngest for a very selfish reason.

Agreed. With abortion, the woman is thinking of her life, her future, her expected childs life/future. This is more of what I was trying to say.

I would personally never have an abortion but I don't think it's necessarily selfish. Maybe if you're only having an abortion because you don't want to give up boozing and partying or something, but in any case it should be a woman's choice. Induction is a touchy subject but if baby is completely healthy after 38 weeks I can see why some people might induce. Personally I plan on waiting for labor to start even though I will likely wind up with another c-section since DS got stuck =/

Hmm. That's almost an impossible question for me to answer in black in white.
I know this is contradictory, but I could never personally have an abortion because I personally see it as taking a life, and I do think it's wrong, but I would never judge another woman for having one even though I think it's utterly wrong. So, I'm not sure if that makes me pro life or pro choice because like I said, while I could never do it and I view it as murder, I can't sit and judge a woman for making that choice? I know I sound horrendously contradictory but I think it's a selfish act. There's always adoption. I know I know, easier said than done, but giving a baby up for adoption is selfless whereas terminating a pregnancy because its hard for YOU is selfish IMO when the baby could have a totally bright future.

I think inducing early just because you're uncomfortable is a tad bit selfish but I think abortion is worse than that..
So I would say abortion, I suppose.

So then not breastfeeding is selfish too then, right? Or CIO? Or putting bsby in daycare?

It's true. But sometimes the baby is really Better off just being born at all....abortion is more humane then a teen mother birthing her baby and pulling it it with scissors and then strangling it to death..... Either way the baby doesn't have a chance
