Make a list before you go!! That ALWAYS helps me to stretch my food stamps.

This is what I was thinking. If work cut your hours, then you should be able to go to the DHS office and apply for emergency food stamps.

if you have a kroger there, shop at Kroger. I spend $200 every week on food. But I also get gas points. Gas here is $3.59. I spent $2.73 a gallon for gas just because I shop at Kroger and stocked up on reward points.
They also have sales where you buy 10 participating items and get a special deal. I have bought things that usually cost $2.49 for 99 cents that way.

It's because I live with my parents. The states doesn't take in account that I pay my own bills, buy my own food, usually make my own food, and haven't had child support since March. I work part time so anywhere between 22 and 32 hours a week. My dad's pension is too much and since I don't technically pay rent, I don't qualify. I pay around $400 in gas now since my college is an hour away and work is 40 mins away. I gave up trying to move out because I can't save any money since it either goes to bills, gas, food and things for LO. I only make $850/month.

Thanks! Yeah it's really sucked. Especially since the girls have even started turning down their food   I hate that they would look at their food and frown   But tomorrow they will be soooo happy!!!!

Because my ex is a dumb ass and slept with his manager's sister(who also worked where he worked.) Then pissed her off. Then he just got lazy and depressed and figured what's the point. According to the state I still "get" child support so it needs to be counted as an income.

Your father's income shouldn't be taken into account. I don't even list my parents on the application. They know I live at home. They know what my income is and how many kids I have. They know I pay my own bills and that our food is separate from my parents' food. I don't pay rent either. I make $1200 a month and get $305 a month. You should definitely qualify. You just can't list your parents on there, but you can still state you live at home.
