my son had a toe removed

dont worry, he was born with an extra one.....
but i just took off the cast to reveal what looks like a grown man bunyon on a 10 month olds foot.....

dont know if it is just swelling or if the doctor just didnt re-shape the foot correctly............i tripping... how long does it normally take for that type of swelling to go down?

When did he have surgery?...swelling afterwards can take several days to go down. I'm sure if something is not right, they will see it at the time of his follow up appointment.

I agree with this. It's not going to look perfectly normal right now. Give it some time to heal and then see how it looks!

surg was on thursday, follow up is this thursday, but thats quite alot of swelling, im racking my brain trying to remember if it was that fat before he has surg

Surgery makes things swell, they'll look at it at the follow up.

Why did he have to have surgery? Is the extra toe going to impair his walking ability?

yes, it was fully dovelopped the joint bent in the opposite direction, and it hurt for him to even wear shoes

i dont know though... the regular foot looks like a normal 10 month old foot....

the other one looks exactly like i explained.... like a big ass bunyon... picture a 45 year old foot with a bunyon... then take the size of that bunyon and add it to a babys foot

okay so i just took pictures of itto send to my mother and i guess i exagerated (sp) a bit, but it definately looks like he is missing a toe....it looks like he had six toes and they chopped one off.... which i know thats exactly what they did but i mean did the doctor try and reshape it or anything, feeling like he is eventually going to have to have another surgery
