Has anyone ever had SEVERE lower back pain before their period? My cycles are still getting back to normal, I had my son 6 months ago. Right now my cycles are every 30 days but my period hasn't started yet, my last one was September 1st so my next one should be October 1st. I'm scared I may be pregnant, so I'm wondering if this occurs more often with pregnancy or right before a period. My lower back is hurting so bad that I can barely walk, and it is difficult to care for my son. Is this normal? I have never had this bad of back pain before.

I have that now... not to freak you out but I just found out I am pregnant... but it could be a ton of stuff... and I wouldnt worry until your a week or 2 late... could be stress... could be a pulled muscle... good luck mama.

Thanks it is scaring me! lol. I'm nervous about being pregnant so soon. We are using condoms but no other form of birth control. I guess if my period doesn't come tomorrow I will take a test. I just don't remember having this type of back pain, I only remember having it when I was pregnant.

I just got over my period and I had crazy back pain right before and a little during my period.

definitley not pregnant though I wish that were the case

I had the samething too 6 months after I had dd. I was finding my back was hurting and I couldn't carry her for long. I thought maybe I was out of shape and she was getting too big for me to hold. NOPE I was preggo again lol

Well hopefully my period starts tonight. We will see though! If not, and I am pregnant, then everything will be fine.

I did have those for several months after my miscarriage, so I believe it is more than normal when full term pregnancy

Well I went and got a test today, a walgreen's brand. It said negative. Still no period, and still having lots of back pain. Should I just go to the doctor? Or just wait it out and test again when I am closer to a week late?

I would wait and test in a week if af dosne't show... the first test I took was negitive...

I'm just worried that this back pain could be a sign something is wrong? I just wonder if I should just go to the doctor and find out instead of waiting.

I would maybe go get checked if your concerned... it never hurts.

Yeah so still no period, and two negative pregnancy tests. I'm going to go to the doctor as soon as I can. This is annoying!

lower back pain before and while on period is a symptom of endometriosis. Especially since its that bad. I'd visit a Dr.

It's funny you mention that because I just went to my doctor about my symptoms a week and a half ago and they didnt even do an ultrasound or anything to see what was going on. Just completely dismissed it all. smurfs.
