New to TTC. Need help on where to start.

posted 2nd Oct
So my husband and I decided we wanted to try and have a baby. I have a child from a previous relationship, he's almost 5 years old. My husband doesn't have any kids. Based off of my last AF I would be ovulating Sept 29-Oct 3. We did the deed the 29 and the 30th, I'm really anxious to start out but I have no idea when I need to start testing and find out for sure when I start to ovulate. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ladies!

for the best results start testing around 12-14 days from when you think you ovulated, dont test with a digital with your earlier tests bc they are not as sensitive. never test with a blue dye bc you will more than likely always get a line and their very confusing. a first response early result, answer or a cheap dollar store test will do just fine.   good luck!!

My husband and I planned all our kids -- but TRYING, I always was so tense & uptight. When I wasnt stressed over when I was due for my next pregnancy test, I always had gotten pregnant   So, relax & don't stress!

Haha that sounds very simple, but I'm sure easier said than done. I'm so anxious to have another baby, I know if I just chill out and not worry about it, then it will happen eventually. I just want it to happen like yesterday! Haha

You can start charting on mymonthlycycle.com and it even has a additional site called when my baby- and you can put your last AF in and it will calculate when you O and when you can start testing. I really like the site, I've been using it for years. Also, if you want to try additional items you can use the OPKs and you can get them at the $ store and test with those around O time. Also, you can start using a BBT Themometer and take your temp every morning before you get out of bed and chart on a graph and when your temp drops then that means you will be O. Also there are other things you can do to help as well, but your just starting so I would start with that first

That's funny. I actually put an app on my phone today that will keep me informed when I ovulate (like I'm going to forget) It's like every since we've decided to TTC I've been obsessed with it, like it's going to happen overnight. The first time I got pregnant was kind of an whoopsie, now that we are actually planning it, wow it takes a lot of patience. Haha. Thanks ladies, I'll definitely start out with these tips. Hopefully it gets me somewhere!

Is there always implantation bleeding when you conceive? I've been feeling nauseous but I'm pretty positive that it's way too soon for it to be pregnancy related. These next couple of weeks need to hurry up.. time moves soo slow when you are this anxious!
