false postive prego test at 6 week checkup???!!!

I am 6 weeks ppostpartum today I went in for my checkup and they did a pregnancy test because I have been sexually active, it came out positive, sso my qp dDr ordered blood work, they r taking FOREVER to get results to me and its killing me I need to know now!!!! I have a 16 month old and a 6 week old I do not need another I'm freakin out!!! So my question is can you have a false positive at 6 weeks postpartum ?? So W.tr a r they st ttodayiiI today o

It's unlikely that the test is wrong. If I'm not mistaken, the pregnancy hormone is out of the system by 3 days-2 weeks post-partum.

My first question is-why would you have unprotected sex right after having a new baby? Another thing-you could still have lingering hormones in your system from your pregnancy..

and yo are very fertile right after having a baby, so I highly doubt its a false.
guess you'll just have to wait to see what the blood work says.

False positives are very RARE you HAVE to have the pregnancy hormone HCG in your system for the test to turn positive, Im sorry mama.
