re: If you got stitches (vaginal birth)

Over three weeks with my first. I tore BAD.
Lined pads with witch hazel pads, sprayed my crotch with dermoplast and used the peri bottle for almost a month.

A few weeks before I could walk, sit, move completely normally. Honestly, sex hurt for at least 6 months  

I got a lot of stitches and lost a lot of blood. TBH it didn't affect my day to day life like shopping, cleaning, caring for my newb. But for pooping, peeing, and later, sex. OMG what nightmares. Dermaplast was my BFF, and sex was like a 5 month later event. And still hurt.

Today its seriously affecting everything i do. I can't walk around, cant drive my car cant lay down without pain. I went to the mw, she said i have an infection. I am praying for the medicine to kick in soon

Oooh ouch, sorry  . As much as it sucks, I am happy for you that there is an actual problem that has been found and that this isn't just how it's going to be.

I'm a bad example because with Alice the stitches healed improperly and had to be cut back open and resewn at 7 weeks pp so it took me a total of 12 weeks to be ok down there. With Caroline I did not tear or have stitches but I was sore down there for a good 2 weeks.

I'm 6 days PP and I was feeling great the first few days after birth. I was surprised. But starting yesterday, it got more painful! What gives? I feel like I got kicked with a steel toe boot in my vag. Ouch. And I think my stitches tore a little so I'm going to the dr today at 3 to get them looked at just to be safe.

Like you though, I have seriously been over doing it. Between the doctors visits, chores around the house, and running errands that I had, I know I wasn't getting enough rest. We will see what he says when I go today.

Just wanted to let you know you're not alone though! Mine got worse too. Right now, I am laying in bed with the heating pad between my legs on low and let me tell you, HEAVEN. Feel better.
