How many ounces?

My baby will be a week old tomorrow, and I nurse about 80% and supplement 20%. I have him nurse on me most of the time, but occasionally I pump and feed it to him in a bottle because my nipples have gotten really sore here and there. I also had to mostly pump for the 2 days he was in the NICU. He likes to nurse about every 2-4hrs. When you began pumping for you moms out there, how many ounces total did you get? I want to make sure I am making an adequate supply. I am getting about 2.5-3.5oz every 3-4 hours.

I was only getting about 2oz. But how much you pump has no correlation to how much they are getting when they nurse.

I get about 2 ounces every two hours. If I go 4 hours I get 4 ounces, but after that I stop producing and still get 4 ounces.

But, judging by how my boobs feel, I'd assume there's still 1/2 ounce to an ounce left in each side that the pump can't draw out.
