id do what your doctor says to do it causes more stress on baby when u dont. because every time u have panic attack and stuff it cause stress on baby and stress will cause more harm to the baby than meds would. there are plenty ppl out there that face what u face including me. do what best for u and baby. you'd have a higher risk of misscarrying off meds then on them due to all stress you'd put on baby. either way its your descion dont let ppl tell u what do . .goodluck with your pregnancy

People don't understand if you've never been there... I personally think people should keep their mouth shut if they've never experienced anything of the sort. You do what's best for you and your child. Just keep your head up. If you need to talk, I'm here.

I suffer from panic disorder.. it came out of no where December 2010 and stopped December 2011. For a year I had multiple panic attacks a day, lost 15 lbs in the first 2 weeks, couldn't drive for a year....I lost an entire year. I became pregnant and they stopped until 32 weeks when out of no where I couldn't breathe and my heart rate was over 200bpm with an irregular ekg on the ambulance and a bp of 160/110. Ativan was my go to med prepregnancy, but I declined during pregnancy because I was unsure of the effects on the baby. During my csection I had a panic attack so severe they called in extra people because they thought something went wrong. I am now suufering from them multiple times a day. It is a class c drug and I am breast feeding. Any thoughts? I have a script for ativan but do not know what to do. Unless you experience it, you have NO idea what it is like. It is the scariest thing in the world. I had no idea until I experienced it, and sadly I was just as judgemental on what "I" would do etc....

ok and my doc told me in emergency situations it is allowed. It depends on your doctor as well as your severity of anxiety. so what now? i guess we are both wrong? or are we both right?

you are right, every doctor is different. and i am in no means bashing medication during pregnancy because i have severe bipolar disorder and without my meds i would be a danger to myself and others so i have to stay on them while pregnant. so far my pregnancy has had no problems from them so, i am thankful

Please look up Dr. Thomas Hale! He has all the info you need on meds and nursing.
PM me if you have any questions or can't find the info you're looking for after researching this Doctor.

You really shouldn't assume that because some of us recognize the dangers of the drug and say not to take it...that we've never experienced anxiety.
