Well, I do have a past experience with it actually. Took it, became addicted to it (which led to other pills and smurf), did the whole rehab mess and all. That was way before I got pregnant though, so when I think of xanax, and babies...they don't mix. But I suppose if you keep it at the minimal amount, and don't abuse it WHATSOEVER, then....idk. I'd never do it, but that's just me.

well, i have to disagree. granted there are better things to take but somethings just need medication. i have bipolar disorder that has to be treated with medication.. the risks out weight benefit way more. my meds are class C, from the ultra sounds my medications havent effected my son at all. just take the right things and be safe

Indeed.... Go for it.... Take it like i did while suffering from anxiety and not knowing I was pregnant. Just don't be suprised when you miscarry like I did from taking a medication that is NOT to be taken while pregnant.

Responding to your ignorant ass statement about suffering from extreme anxiety. Don't like it, don't read it. I would recommend changing your smurfing tampon though.

Xanax is category D. There are risks but risk =/= certain. In fact, the risk is very small. It's one of those benefits outweighing risks kind of things. It's not good for the baby to be exposed to all that cortisol either.

I've taken Xanax daily for almost twenty years and have never increased my dose, in fact I've decreased it twice. Fortunately I don't have to worry about needing it in pregnancy because I only take it to sleep while on Adderall and I'm not taking that either. For many people Xanax isn't habit forming.
