I don't see a problem. If you can afford it and your child enjoys it at a healthy level, why not?

I dont see the issue. My kids are 10 and 4 and both have wii's dsi and 3ds, xbox playstations
They both have their own laptops in their room as well as their own ipads. They both have an e-reader. DD is 4 also has a innotab,
They both have ipod touches.

If you can afford it why not get them stuff thats fun, I dont want my kids living under a rock.
They would never surviv school without an ipad or laptop...yes the school is funded and provides each student with one, but I would rather my kids have their own. Its cheaper to replace.
