need help with nose piercing!
posted 2nd Oct
So... I had my nose pierced a year ago... And i wanna take it out. Problem is.... I cant unscrew it or anything! Its a small diamond on top.. straight bar.... And then inside my nose is some kind of flat thing on the bottom of the bar. Does that make sense??? Im wondering if its some kind of lock?
Id go to the tatto/piercing place close to me but hubbys work schedule is crazy and i dont wanna have to take kids with me. Any "at home" advice would be greatly appreciated

Which end are you trying to twist off? I've seen some where the flatback unscrews and some where the gem unscrews.

That sounds a lot like a labret (lip) type piercing, If it is anything like a labret piercing the top gem part will be the bit you need to unscrew, Which can be really hard getting a grip on, Then once (if) you can get a grip it's lefty loosey, righty tighty lol (This is the only way i can remember how to undo and redo my labret one hahaha)

Wear latex gloves, it might help you to get a better grip.

Thanks ladies.... Ive tried both ends. Lol. I tried holding it with tweezers and unscrewing but that didnt work. Ill try your ideas today and see if i can get it.... If not i might have to suck it up and have to go to a piercer.

Is it a nose bone? If it is, get ready to clench your teeth and pull it out.

No... I dont think it is. I remember when she pierced it she said she had to screw the thing on. Worse case ill have a piercer do it... Im sure the have a better technique than i do! Lol!
