Mirena recall?

I'm probably gonna google this in a minute, I just wanted to ask if anyone on here knew about it.
One of my best friends told me today that she was going to have to go to her doctor to get her mirena checked because she's been seeing ads on TV about some of them being recalled and there being lawsuits. I haven't seen or heard anything about this. Has anyone else??

I haven't seen anything... I had mine for two years and loved it. I only got it out cuz we're about to try for another baby.

I saw the ad the other day on TV. I didnt think about it. It was just some lawyer trying to make money knowing there are some lawsuit happy people out there waiting to get rich.
I love my Mirena. No period...no more kids..I am good.

Omg. Watching. I have mirena now & havent heard of any recalls yet..

I got mine in January. I've really liked it so far, but lately I've been having issues that I'm thinking are related to it. The only thing I can really find so far is the thing about it perforating or imbedding in the uterus.

I seen something about it on a commercial. Didn't pay much attention tho being that I don't have one. It was one of those commercials telling you to call this number to see if you qualify for a lawsuit...

Anyone know why the recall? What are people suing for?

I'm really not interested in a lawsuit. I'm just slightly worried about why they're being recalled and if that means I need to go get it removed.

I swear I'll be so depressed. I can't remember to take the pill, and I do NOT want to have more kids lol

I see lawyer advertising all te time for pretty much every birthcontrol more recentlymerina - but having it checked is not a bad idea

I see them for pills all the time, but I never really stopped to think about it. It's kinda scary to think about something that's IN your body being recalled lol

Yeah, but its for te side effects tht we all know (or should know) before getting one. I received a mierina after my son and it almost had to be surgically removed because it lodged in my uterus because my body rejected it

i had my mairena placed when my son was 6 weeks old, the only problems i have had was like a few cysts that went away quickly. other then that, no other problems. seeing this commercial has me concerned about it causing infertility when i have it removed. i'm 21 and my son is now 3 almost 4 and i'll have to have it removed when he is 5 years, 6 weeks old. does anyone think i'll have a problem with getting pregnant again after its removed? if i do need to have it removed because of this recall, i can do the bc pills but i really dont want to yet.

I'm fixing to go have mine check got no more medicade, so I been putting up with this pain in my lower back and my lower belly towards the hip bone..people are telling me its out of place so I have to go to the hospital to have it took out..since no medicade
