Child Custody/Support

We and my daughters father split and will never be back together, I have had her from day one since he left. One day I agreed on giving him a chance to see her again but desided to take her out of my car and running with her telling me I will never see her again, so I got the cops involved and got my daughter back from him, from there on I filed for custody and child support it's been since July and haven't heard anything, when did you get a court date or when does child support start? Also I refuse to let him see her, she doesnt care to ask about her and is from girl to girl and the last time she was with him he argued with me the whole time and she smelt like someone just soaked her in perfume, she wouldnt smile look at anyone or anything and she is only a year old and seeing her with him made me upset on how she asked she is never like that and I left like she didnt no who he was. am I in the wrong for not letting him see her? he cant support her, has no phone to even get ahold of him or vehicle or anything. Also I am aloud to keep her til court right?

Don't be surprised if he files for visitation. & That you CAN'T stop. You will have no say in the matter, the courts will....
If you filed in July & haven't heard ANYTHING yet.. I would be contacting the court house to figure out the process.

that's weird...if you filed in July, they should have called you back....I would call them back or go to the court house again and file for it again.

I was in almost the same situation, long story short...I have full custody of my daughter and he has no visitation rights unless I say so.

And the day I filed for full custody, I had temporary custody that day until we had to go back to court to finalize it 2 weeks later.
I obviously won because the dead beat didn't even show up and signed his rights over.

good luck with everything !! it's going to be a hard road but well worth it.

& for the child support, I really don't know about, I never filed for that because then that gives him the right for visitation.

I filed in May, just had the paternity test last week, so it'll be another month or more before the results are back from that and probably another month before C/S is ordered.... it's so effing slow... maybe I'll see money before christmas....
