Preggers and with a cold....

SO the weather out here has been completely WACKY and I thought the sore throat in the morning had to to with that and sleeping with the fan on. Apparently not.... I been feeling yucky for going on a week now and I know meds are out of the question. Any advice on what you ladies have done while feeling under the weather minus the drugs??  

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT steamy showers worked wonders for me, although I also supplemented with some cold medicine.

I got sick when I was preggo and my dr told me I could take Tylenol products.....I took some tylenol allergie sinus stuff, and was so happy!! I was nearly in tears from the sinus headache I had.

Yeah the tylenol stuff is all good, plus theraflu but theraflu sucked for me so

Oh I shed some of those tears today too!! I was so tired and frustrated when I pulled into my driveway I didn't know wha else to do.. Haha....

Orignial sudefed (NOT PE) is okay...

If you can stand to do it you can flush your sinuses with warm salt water... that actually helped me through a horrible sinus infection.

If it's allergies you can take benadryl or I think it was Allegra... talk to your OB you'd be suprised what you can take ... there are a lot of limitations during the first trimester but not nearly so many after that

oh yeah make sure you drink your water it helps keep things flushed out

I know that pain!!! I'm breastfeeding, and with all of the fires down here and the oak pollen my sinuses kicked up again (YAY me!) and all I can take now is benedryl, but it knocks me out, so I can only take it once at night

I was so sick last week i called L&d cause it was freaking me out. they said i can basically take anything except nightquil..but honestly, dont waste your money. i went and bought all kinds of cold medicine and NOTHING helped..unless you have a fever those medicines arent gonna help. just try to sleep and keep hydrated.

Sounds like a plan! Especially going into the long weekend!! THANK GOODNESS!! All my students were such troopers today not saying a thing that I had a box of tissue hanging out by my side the whole day and I had to keep stopping while teaching because I couldn't breathe! Hopefully this is gone by Tuesday!

sudafed is ok to take, hot tea, benadryl,tylenol PM. feel better. i know how ya feel i had 5 colds in the begining of my pregnancy
