See I would've gotten mad if I were him but I wouldn't of shown it...cuz I know he would already be beating himself up

Total accident! Live and learn. I can almost guarantee it won't happen again. I'm sorry it happened but you are only human. Glad he is doing ok, kids are durable !!

I would have been mad for a minute. It was an accident, but emotions can run high in the moment. After crying stopped and everything was done, I would be fine. Although, he would probably receive a lecture.

That's still totally understandable.
I would feel like absolute crap if that happened on my watch, so the last thing I'd need is my husband also making me feel like the worst mom ever, and vice versa.

Tell him you already feel like crap, so there's no need to make it worse... I'd be mad at first too, but not for more than like 20 or 30 minutes or whatever. Not over a day...
Have you taken him to the dr to make sure it's not a deep burn that needs medical attention? You should...

Poor baby. I'm sure you learned from it though.. so don't worry, accidents happen. A friend of mine's son burnt his hand really bad on a metal grate outside in the summer. She felt horrible too, but smurf happens.

Keep doing what your ped said to do.

We were co sleeping and I left my DS on the bed alone to nap a few months ago(he just turned one).. He fell off the bed and knocked his head on the metal frame when DH was at work. He had to get his scalp glued back together because I was a dumb ass and thought I'd hear him just like every other time. No I didn't. He crawled down the hallway leaving a trail of blood from my bedroom down the hall and all overhimself. I still get emotionl thinking about it. DH was mad at me for a day and made me feel guilty every day for a week, not meaning to, just stuff he would say.. And I think because I was so emotional about it, any little thing he would say would get my guilt emotions going again.
Your LO is going to be okay. Just let your SO work it out and if he says he's not mad then don.'t push it. He sounds emotional about it and that's okay. I'm guessing this is the first time your LO got hurt. Trust me, it gets easier. A skinned knee used t make me cry, now we go get the bandaid and cleaner and it's no big deal. KWIM?

Yikes that's awful  ... I'm so sorry. It definitely stabs you in the heart to see your Bubs like that...I was so mad at myself I felt like putting my hand on the oven and leaving it there to get burned too but then it would be hard to take care of him as well. I talked to my MIL and she told me that she was mopping and had the chairs stacked on the table...my fiance was a baby and pulled one off onto his head...he was knocked out for 30 mins 0_0.

I know he's emotional and I know I would be secretly pissed if I were in his shoes...hell the first time he hit his head was on his watch and I wanted to yell at him but I didnt

One of the absolute worst feelings in the entire world is seeing your baby in pain and that feeling escalates if it was your fault, especially with accidents : ( I'm so sorry you're going through this. I don't think DH would be mad at me but he lives by the whole "they'll only do it once" theory. Our kids arent' like that though..they both do things repeadtedly and don't seem to learn.
I have two very long scars on my arm from where I pulled a curling iron down on myself when I was little. My mom said she still feels bad about it.
Your little guy will get all better and you learned your lesson, he's a little speed demon ; )
