re: Does God play favorites?

Quoting Back to Noob Status:" Hence why I feel God plays favorites. Seriously, what makes one person more deserving of love and happiness than another?"
Because in the long run it will depend on how much will you appreciate it. Just to have riches and everything doesn't mean you can be truly happy, not raped, beaten, heart broken, or indestructible. We are all still human and imperfect.

Is it one of Jesus' stories? Or did someone else tell it?

So I was reading the old testament first which is the law of Moses but I said wait skip that and I'm starting the new testament now which is the law of grace and basically what this generation is living now.... what Jesus is talking about. I'm delaying the revelations lol it bothers to hear the truth.

I truly don't believe that god plays favorites. His plan is all that matters. Even if we don't agree. He will ALWAYS lead us in the right direction!!

I dont believe God or the devil have much say in our lives. IMO, we choose the framework of our life before we are born. Sort of like guidelines as to what we will experience, and what growth oppurtunities we will come across. But it is always our choice what we make of any situation. We DO have free will.
I believe in reincarnation myself, and believe whatever choices you make in life will affect what lessons you need to learn in the next. Its all about balance I think. Some people call it karma or whatever. Some dont like to acknowledge it because they think its more about punishment for those who do bad. I look at it as a chance to learn from past mistakes. And some people get mad when its mentioned, like they dont want to think that they may have made choices in a previous that contributed to how their life is now. But thats what makes the most sense to me.

So, with reincarnation, does every living thing turn into something else, or do only humans reincarnate?

Do you mean like people starting out as a cockroach and reincarnating up to human level? Lol No, I dont believe it works like that.
I dont pretend to have all the answers on reincarnation. All I can answer is what I have experienced and verifyed for myself.

My feelings on this are much more along the lines of Lucid/Twizzlahs.
First of all-- we create our thoughts, and therefore our world/universe around us, but each life is only a small portion of our soul's growth process. We bring past experiences and "karma", if you will, into this life that we are currently living. Some karmic debts can be repaid in a lifetime, others will take many lifetimes.
But, we also have free will, and the ability to create a better universe for ourself... by doing good things, by thinking positive thoughts rather than focusing all of our energy on the negative (and, no, that's not to say that thinking "I'm going to get a sports car! I'm going to get a sports car!" is going to give you a sports car.)
ETA-- I'm also of the belief that your soul chooses this body/life according to what it needs to learn and accomplish, but making that choice does not change that terrible things can still happen to you that are out of your control. You can only control yourself, and the choice your soul makes before you're born doesn't mean you're meant to be injured by someone else, etc.
I read a really great article on Karma in your natal chart the other day. Wish I had the finesse to explain that right now. I'll try later. haha

I used to believe, but have lately lost the little faith I had.
I just can't feel it anymore.
There are just too many things that happen in this world to convince me that there is some all powerful and loving being watching over all.
The quote "God never gives you more than you can handle" I feel is one of the biggest lies given to people to make them not give up hope and either kill themselves or become completely debased.

Is this only for believer in the Christian god?

I think so.
I kinda ignored that rule.
