but it's good for many reasons too, you cannot get a job if you have any criminal actions on your record, so 5 years and it's cleaned out... you can get a job easily.

Yes I can agree there. Im sure there were signs that maybe went un-noticed or were treated like something that could be fixed without professional help. Im just going off of the little information on the story I have. Im going to look up the article now.

Really. That is one smurfed up place. I know America sucks but I'll take America over Guatemala any day.

This isn't exactly true. It's still there in most cases, but it's a "sealed file" which means it has limited access, like say to law enforcement only. My husband got arrested for shop lifting when he was 15 and it showed up when he did a background check last year. (he's 24)....

I was curious how someone who is considered a child can be punished as an adult. That was the point of the debate.
